Phoria is a latent (hidden) misalignment of the eyes that occurs intermittently, unlike tropia, where the misalignment is constant. It becomes noticeable when one eye is covered, causing it to drift away from the line of vision. Once uncovered, the eye realigns with the other. Phoria is often more pronounced when you’re tired or after prolonged focus on a task.

Common Symptoms of Phoria:

· Double vision

· Eye strain

· Headaches

· Difficulty focusing

With increased screen time in today’s digital age, phoria is becoming more common. It often goes undetected, and standard prescription glasses may not effectively address the symptoms.

If you experience any of these symptoms, visit us for a free consultation and try our specialized lenses designed to provide relief. Walk-ins are always welcome!
